Spotlight on Robyn DeHart and Forbidden Love Series

A Little Bit Wicked

albw-rdhBOOK BLURB: Marcus Kincaid, Earl of Ashford, has returned to England after a ten-year absence to find his younger sister embroiled in a potential scandal that could ruin her chance at marriage. His aunt has already called in reinforcements – The Paragon.

Vivian March, known simply as The Paragon, moves through every circle within Society, smoothing out scandals and stopping gossip in its tracks. Everyone in London knows that if she aligns herself with you, Society will forgive your sins.

What they don’t know is that she uses their secrets to cover her own jaded past. But with every kiss and every touch that Marcus thrusts upon her, Vivian comes to believe life is infinitely more fun when you can be just a little bit wicked…

REVIEW: The author had me at the older woman/younger man, but she kept me because of an awesome story line.

Vivian, our “older” heroine was such a great character. She exuded strength and confidence, which is frankly missing in our regency miss’s.

Marcus, despite his youthful looks, was a strong and admirable character that will have your heart do a skip beat.

Together, they light up this story with equal amounts of humor and sensuality, wit and romance.

I highly recommend this well written, fast paced and highly sensual and romantic tale of second chance at love.

A Little Bit Sinful

albsi-rdhBOOK BLURB: Justin Rodale is the wealthy bastard son of the Duke of Chanceworth. He owns the most lucrative and luxurious gaming establishment and caters to London’s elite. Educated with the rest of the aristocrats, he knows all the rules by which Society lives, but he is beholden to no one.

Clarissa Kincaid has been raised to be the perfect English lady. She knows precisely the sort of match she should make and she’s fairly certain she’s found that with a respectable gentleman. But the man won’t commit and she finds herself seeking assistance in the form of seduction lessons from Justin.

This is a challenge the charming Justin can not resist. She may think that he knows nothing about her needs, but he’s determined to show her that he knows plenty about her secret desires. He has no intention of publicly ruining the girl, but he’s determined to privately tempt her into some slightly sinful behavior.

REVIEW: Robyn DeHart can write charming, witty, sensual and fast paced stories and this one, at least for me, just fell short of the mark on all those points.

I thought the characters were too simplistic and I wished they were more complex and stronger.

The plot and pace were okay. In fact, the story was fine, but I expected more from it because I know this author can do better. I’m hoping that the third story in this series will be better.

In the end, I do recommend it to all that have read the previous story, but if you’re new to this author, please read one of Robin’s other books.

A Little Bit Scandalous

albs-rdhBOOK BLURB: A woman in search of a gamble…

Mathematics prodigy, Caroline Jellico, plans to support herself by winning big in the gaming hells of London—while dressed as a boy. She’s tired of waiting for the elusive Roe to notice her. She’ll marry him or no man.

A gambler in need of redemption…

Monroe Grisham, Duke of Chanceworth, needs to marry off his beautiful young ward and ensure she attaches herself to the right man, not an irresponsible cad like him. But all grown up now, Caroline’s presence is an utter distraction. One he can neither act on nor deny.

A game of seduction…

But when Roe and Caroline meet across the gaming table, all bets are off. Seduction is in the cards and the winner will take all…or lose everything.

REVIEW: In the conclusion of Robyn DeHart’s  Forbidden Love trilogy we are back to fun and scorching sensuality!

I adored both hero and heroine and loved their road to happily ever after. The heroine with strength of her convictions and a hero whose behavior kept me in the dark and on the verge of declaring him beta, but in the end the alpha won.

This story had it all, from characters who can melt your heart to the wonderfully witty dialogue, I enjoyed it all, despite the predictability of the plot.

All in all, great series and highly recommended!

rdhAUTHOR BIO: National Bestselling author, Robyn DeHart’s novels have appeared in the top bestselling romance and historical romance lists. Her books have been translated into nearly a dozen languages. Her historical romantic adventure series, The Legend Hunters, were not only bestsellers, but also award-winners, snagging a Reader’s Crown and a Reviewer’s Choice award. She had three releases in 2013 and 2014 will see four more, all set in the popular historical romance Regency and Victorian eras.

When not writing, you can find Robyn hanging out with her family, husband (The Professor) a university professor of Political Science and their two ridiculously beautiful and smart daughters, Busybee and Babybee as well as two spoiled-rotten cats. They live in the hill country of Texas where it’s hot eight months of the year, but those big blue skies make it worth it.

About Bookworm

I'm married, working, and have grown and independent kids. I love gardening, reading and painting. My favorite TV show is Dancing With the Stars! Television shows have gone to the crap house. My favorite movie of all time is "Last of the Mohicans" with Daniel Day Lewis. Second best is "Titanic" and third "Passion of the Christ". I am an avid reader and I love talking about the books I’ve read, especially romance novels. I will warn you though: I am prone to rants and raves about a lot of things!
