Once Upon a Highland Season Series!
‘Once Upon a Highland Summer’
Lady Caroline Forrester is on the run from her brother’s scheme to marry her off to the highest bidder. An escape to Scotland offers a chance at employment as a governess and freedom from an unhappy marriage—it’s the perfect solution. But Caroline wasn’t prepared for the feelings that her new employer brings out in her.
Alec McNabb, the reluctant Earl of Glenorne, never expected to return home to Scotland. But now that he’s there, he realizes he has obligations that he cannot escape. Alec needs to marry well, and quickly.
When a case of mistaken identity—coupled with the sensual, magical atmosphere of Glenorne Castle—results in a passionate encounter, Caroline and Alec must decide whether their attraction is enough to overcome the problems of their pasts, or whether this one chance at true love was over before it began…
REVIEW: Truly fun and entertaining novella. Despite it being short, the author did a fantastic job in developing her main characters as well as the secondary ones.
There’s so much to appreciate in this story. From the setting and scenery, to the paranormal aspect of this story, I enjoyed it and appreciated the fast pace and a well written plot.
I loved the humor and romance in equally and dreaded the end.
If you’re in a mood to visit Highlands and a hero that’s swoon worthy, don’t miss this one!
‘Once Upon a Highland Autumn’
A mysterious letter draws Lord Kit Rossington to Scotland in search of a lost treasure. But the marriage-minded females he avoided in England follow him to the Highlands, and he’ll do anything—even a temporary marriage with a Highland lass—to keep his freedom while he solves a mystery that’s haunted Glen Dorian for almost a century.
Legends say a curse lurks among the shattered stones of Glen Dorian Castle. Will the love that is beginning to grow between Megan and Kit be able to withstand fate? For only the living, those with bold hearts and true love, can restore peace to Glen Dorian at last.
REVIEW: What can happen if you are an English lord searching for a hidden treasure in the Highlands? Well, plenty! And that’s what’s so fun about this story.
Two wonderfully complex and determined characters make this story entertaining and laugh out loud delicious.
And I haven’t even gotten to the awesome writing and an amazing picture of the highlands that the author does!
Get it! You’ll enjoy it!
‘Once Upon a Highland Christmas’
BOOK BLURB: Lady Alanna McNabb is bound by duty to her family, who insist she must marry a gentleman of wealth and title. When she meets the man of her dreams, she knows it’s much too late, but her heart is no longer hers.
Laird Iain MacGillivray is on his way to propose to another woman when he discovers Alanna half-frozen in the snow and barely alive. She isn’t his to love, yet she’s everything he’s ever wanted.
As Christmas comes closer, the snow thickens, and the magic grows stronger. Alanna and Iain must choose between desire and duty, love and obligation.
But it’s Christmas in the Highlands, and there are bound to be a few surprises.
REVIEW: As Christmas novella’s go, this one is one of the best I’ve read in a long while. Truly sweet and tender with plenty of characters to intrigue and entertain.
I loved everything about this story, especially the magic spells and magic of Christmas that seals the love and romance of our two protagonists.
This is a definite must read for this season!
