‘Another Piece of My Heart’ by Jane Green

apomh jg Andi is a woman who has spent much of her adult life looking for the perfect man, and at thirty-seven, she’s finally found him.  Ethan—divorced with two daughters, Emily and Sophia—is a devoted father and even better husband.  Always hoping one day she would be a mother, Andi embraces the girls like they were her own.  But in Emily’s eyes, Andi is an obstacle to her father’s love, and Emily will do whatever it takes to break her down. When the dynamics between the two escalate, they threaten everything Andi believes about love, family, and motherhood—leaving both women standing at a crossroad in their lives and in their hearts.

Another Piece of My Heart is a novel that illuminates the nuances and truths about relationships and is Jane Green at her absolute best.

REVIEW: I found this novel to be well written and totally in tune with many of today’s teens. With the number of parents with stepchildren these days, I’m sure many of them could read this book and feel as though they had experienced the exact things.

Andi marries Ethan who has two daughters. Andi has no children of her own and cannot conceive. She does everything she can to be the loving stepmother to these two children and is met with total disdain by one of them.

Emily is a child who has always been first in her father’s love and resents Andi. Follow this family as they tread through their difficult relationships.

About Bookworm

I'm married, working, and have grown and independent kids. I love gardening, reading and painting. My favorite TV show is Dancing With the Stars! Television shows have gone to the crap house. My favorite movie of all time is "Last of the Mohicans" with Daniel Day Lewis. Second best is "Titanic" and third "Passion of the Christ". I am an avid reader and I love talking about the books I’ve read, especially romance novels. I will warn you though: I am prone to rants and raves about a lot of things!
