Book Review

A day with all my favorite authors…and then there’s Brooks!

Once more, before I lay my head on a pillow [in my mind, I’m already there] I’m stopping by with some juicy tidbits….

Too many authors and too little time, but I made the rounds and beside stopping by and saying hi to the old favourites, I made some new author discoveries, and I made new friends.

Sabrina Jeffries is truly the best Duchess ever.

Jade Lee can throw a fun-filled bridal shower and a wedding like no one else.

Kieran Kramer is one hot, HOT chick and she has the moves to kill, and energy to burn.

And then there’s Brooks….

This has been a weekend of my firsts, and this is one first I’m filing under ‘Grandma posed with a male model’ memory file. What about you? Have you had a male model encounter [if not in real life, fantasy will do] and who is it? One of you will get a free book (mention your choice from a big pile that is on the pic under the post) in our second RT giveaway. Click on both pics and you can visit Brooks on his website, and you can enlarge the one with the books.* Sorry, US only…

  1. Wow that’s a great looking pile of stuff. So glad to hear you had a blast. I so wish I could have been there.

A few months ago I was lucky enough to meet and pose with Paul Marron at a book signing for Kresley Cole. OMG, he was so damn good looking and his smile….seriously so cute!

  2. Cute pic of you and Brooks. I haven’t had an encounter with a male model, but I wouldn’t mind meeting David Gandy. I would love to win Erin Knightley’s “More Than a Stranger.”

  3. Look how much fun you had!! I’ve never met a model but I wouldn’t be opposed to meeting Paul Marron 🙂
Sigh, I wish I could have been there! All those great authors so close but just out of reach for me this time. I will get to one event though soon 🙂 I would love Erin Knightleys debut, More than a Stranger or A Week to Be Wicked since I can’t find it in a darn store here or A Midnight Dance by Lila DiPasqua.

  4. Wow Mel, it looks like you got yourself a great stash here, whilst enjoying yourself at the same time. I’m so envious that you’ve had such a great time meeting all those wonderful authors that I can only dream about. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting any of these gorgeous male models, but if I had to choose, then it would have to be Paul Marron. 🙂

I would love to read Maggie Robinson’s “Master of Sin”.

  5. The closest I’ve come is two different guys that I went to high school with ended up being male models! LOL And let me tell you, they were both so good looking! One of them I actually dated for a little while. *swoon*

I would love to read the Eileen Dreyer’s Never a Gentleman or even…is that a Mary Balogh book I see?? I can’t see the title of it though! 😉

  6. Go for it Grandma! We ladies of a certain age gotta get a smile when we can.
So many great choices in that spread – Eileen Dryer’s Never a Gentleman would be great; can’t see which Mary Balogh’s books are sitting up in the back

  7. I have not met a cover model but who wouldn’t love to met Paul Marron1 He is such a hottie! I would not mind winning one of those Tessa Dare books. A Night to Surrender would be cool! Thanks for sharing!

  8. no run-ins or otherwise with a male model for me (other than in my dreams/fantasies that is) 😉 sounds like you had a blast (i’m slightly jealous) ;( nice stash of treasure you got there. I’d pick Maggie Robinson’s book. get some rest & recover from the excitement ;D

  9. A friend of mine was living in NYC and actually modeled for a book cover. I’d like to read either Pleasures of a Notorious Gentleman by Lorraine Heath or Loretta Chase’s book.

  10. Who paid you to say that about me? My husband?? Aww, you’re so sweet–you made my whole day. I was so happy to see you in person at RT!!! You’re so fun and adorable and gorgeous…ALL those things!!! Can’t wait to see you at RWA (??) and next year in Kansas City for RT again!!! XOXO

  11. Mel –

Since your undertall like I am I’m impressed with your picture with Brooks! If it were me he probably would have been walking forward and his eyes wouldn’t even see me passing by!

Talking about hiding in plain site I saw Mary Balough’s book hiding in the background! I adore her stories and would love to have anything by her appear in my mailbox.

I love your tales about your adventures and hope someday to be able to attend myself.
