About Us

When I decided to venture into this Blog-world, I never, ever thought it would be so much fun. At the time, I thought it would be a one woman pony show, dedicated to all you bookworms out there. It turns out, I’ve talked my RRAH fellow reviewer Krissie to hitch a wagon to my pony, so we could both have some fun. Krissie and I have extended an invitation to a soon to be published author Evelyn Archer to join our team, and she has humbled us both by accepting our invitation, and now there are three…

Let me introduce myself. As an avid reader I love to talk about books I’ve read, especially romance novels. I will warn you though: besides book reviews, you’ll hear a lot of my nonsensical rants and raves! Let’s get personal:  I’m in my early fifties, married, working, and have grown and independent kids. My hobbies are   gardening, reading and painting.

“Hello, my name is Kristal.  I am 31 years old, have a 13-year-old daughter whom I cherish with all my heart and four spoiled rotten kitties.  Rounding out my circus is my gorgeous little pug Romeo, rightly named because all  he ever wants to do is cuddle and give kisses!  I have read romance novels for over half my life.  I was the kid hiding under my covers reading Jude Devereaux and Kathleen Woodiwiss and at the ripe old age of 15 that totally would have scandalized my very proper, church-going mama!  I read all sorts of books as long as they are romance!  Starting out as a young girl I would read strictly historicals… I loved the glitz and glamour of the gowns, the ballrooms, the dashing lords and ladies.  Now older and wiser I also read paranormal, contemporary, suspense.. you name it in the romance department I will read it!  I will admit to having a crazy fondness for a Highlander or a nice, spicy vampire!”

“Evelyn here.  As a fan of bookworm2bookworm’s blog, I was thrilled when Melanie and Kristal asked me to become a regular b2b contributor!  I will be posting once a month on the topic of romance in real life, detailing my own adventures in dating and other real-life romance-related stories.  While in life there may be fewer happily-ever-afters than in the pages of romance novels, I am an optimist and will always have faith in love.  I am in my mid-30s, live in New York, and romance novels have been a steady part of my reading diet since high school.  My first book, Mrs. Knox Takes a Lover, will be available later this year.  XOXO – Evelyn”

      Hey!

Welcome to the Blog-world! Anything on your mind, anytime you’re ready, we’re here to hear it! I know nothing about Paranormals, and you like them. Why? What’s so good about them?

Thanks so much for joining me! I know we’ll have fun together!

  3. Hello, Ladies. Sorry for the lateness of my reply. I recently discovered your blog (Thanks, Melanie :D ) but I’m just now getting around to commenting.

Thank you for your feature about “The Tempest.” I was so happy to learn that you enjoyed it. The Gisbornes seem to be in demand right now, so we’ll be hearing more from them. :)

Love your site. It’s beautiful, and I’ll be visiting often. Have a wonderful day!

        Charlotte,

I’m truly humbled and appreciate authors like yourself supporting Bloggers like myself :)
I would be ‘tickled pink’; ‘happy as a clam or pig in shit’ and all around THRILLED if you would stop by and guest blog to your hearts content ANY time you HAVE the time! I have Judith James’ interview coming up this Monday 9/19/2011; Keeping my fingers crossed for Eileen Dreyer for 10/3/2011; Joanna Bourne is scheduled for 10/17/2011 and Ashley March for 10/26/2011 ;)

Week of September 26 is open wide and week of October 10….Let me know what you think and I would love to know your take on self publishing. BTW I just read that quite a few blogs out there don’t review Self-pub authors. Is that true?! I was frankly stunned. I mean, some of the best reads lately that I’ve reviewed were from those authors….you work included:)

        Mel

  4. Hello There!

Forgive me for leaving this in two places, but I wasn’t sure where to post it…

I would love to do an interview. My best days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, so the 27th or 29th of this month will work just fine. Just let me know what I need to do. I’m happy to discuss my work. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Yours,
    Charlotte H.

  5. Hi Mel!
I’d love to introduce your site to two authors I don’t see on here … the first is Kaki Warner, whose gorgeous western romance adventure series won her the Rita for Best First Book at the RWA last June. She writes beautifully.

The second is me! My debut novel, “Under the Same Sky” (Berkley/Penguin US) debuts Jan 3 2012 and I’d love for you to take a look – and maybe I could pop by your blog sometime? Please come see my site: http://www.GenevieveGraham.com

      Hi Ms. Graham!

Thank you so much for stopping by and introducing yourself :) I’m ALWAYS open to new authors, be they Debut or ‘new’ to me.

I have heard of Ms. Warner (last year was her Debut, I believe and she won with that book a Rita?) and I do hope to read that book soon. I do on occasion leave the comfort of Regency World for the Wild West. Currently I’m reading Caroline Fyffe’s WHERE THE WIND BLOWS and I like it a lot. I like Ms. Fyffe’s style of writing.

I went to your website and looked around…I see that one of your fave’s is mine as well. THE OUTLANDER and Ms. Gabaldon’s other books in that series are one of my prize possessions. I have them all and re-read them as soon as I find out she’s coming up with the new one :)

Your books do sound very much what I love to read about. I saw the trailer and liked it a lot as well. The covers of both of them are very good, and I hope you stay with the second one (it looks like it’s only temp?).

I wondered if you’d be interested in sending me it for a review, and I would love to interview you also. I have second week in December free.

Hope to hear from you soon.

      Mel
