When I decided to venture into this Blog-world, I never, ever thought it would be so much fun. For a time, b2b was a one woman pony show, dedicated to all you bookworms out there. And for a time, my RRAH fellow reviewer Krissie hitched a wagon to my pony, and we both had some fun.
Let me introduce myself. As an avid reader I love to talk about books I’ve read, especially romance novels. I will warn you though: besides book reviews, you’ll hear a lot of my nonsensical rants and raves!
Let’s get personal: I’m in my early fifties, married, working, and have grown and independent kids. My hobbies are gardening, reading and painting.
This is a personal weblog. The opinions expressed here are our own.

My favorite thing about blogging is reading comments, so won’t you please leave one before you go?
Thanks and hope to see you here often!!

Someone said this to me when I wrote my first post a little more than 6 months ago:
“Welcome to the blogging world!!”
You’re on the dark side now!! lol! Enjoy it! I hope you have many up to encourage you, enough downs to exercise persistence, and plenty of new dreams to replace the old ones for your blog that you are destined to achieve. Blog about what you love and you’ll always love blogging!
All The Best, Melanie!

Hey!
Welcome to the Blog-world! Anything on your mind, anytime you’re ready, we’re here to hear it! I know nothing about Paranormals, and you like them. Why? What’s so good about them?
Thanks so much for joining me! I know we’ll have fun together!
Mel
Hello, Ladies. Sorry for the lateness of my reply. I recently discovered your blog (Thanks, Melanie
) but I’m just now getting around to commenting.
Thank you for your feature about “The Tempest.” I was so happy to learn that you enjoyed it. The Gisbornes seem to be in demand right now, so we’ll be hearing more from them.
Love your site. It’s beautiful, and I’ll be visiting often. Have a wonderful day!
Is this THE Charlotte Hawkins?! OMG!
I loved your books and I’m looking forward to more from you. I’m so glad you stopped by and thanks for writing Guy as I see him
BTW, we need to book you (if you have the time-name it and we’ll make room)!
Best,
Mel
I’m available on weekends, and in the afternoon on weekdays. (After 2PM EST) Just let me know what you need from me. I would love to work with you.
Charlotte,
I’m truly humbled and appreciate authors like yourself supporting Bloggers like myself
I would be ‘tickled pink’; ‘happy as a clam or pig in shit’ and all around THRILLED if you would stop by and guest blog to your hearts content ANY time you HAVE the time! I have Judith James’ interview coming up this Monday 9/19/2011; Keeping my fingers crossed for Eileen Dreyer for 10/3/2011; Joanna Bourne is scheduled for 10/17/2011 and Ashley March for 10/26/2011
Week of September 26 is open wide and week of October 10….Let me know what you think and I would love to know your take on self publishing. BTW I just read that quite a few blogs out there don’t review Self-pub authors. Is that true?! I was frankly stunned. I mean, some of the best reads lately that I’ve reviewed were from those authors….you work included:)
Mel
Hello There!
Forgive me for leaving this in two places, but I wasn’t sure where to post it…
I would love to do an interview. My best days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, so the 27th or 29th of this month will work just fine. Just let me know what I need to do. I’m happy to discuss my work. Hope to hear from you soon.
Yours,
Charlotte H.
Charlotte,
Thanks for stopping by and you can leave me a msg any time any where and as many times you want
I’ve sent you an email so we can continue this discussion. Hope to hear from you soon, and until then,
My Best Always,
Mel
Hi Mel!
I’d love to introduce your site to two authors I don’t see on here … the first is Kaki Warner, whose gorgeous western romance adventure series won her the Rita for Best First Book at the RWA last June. She writes beautifully.
The second is me! My debut novel, “Under the Same Sky” (Berkley/Penguin US) debuts Jan 3 2012 and I’d love for you to take a look – and maybe I could pop by your blog sometime? Please come see my site: http://www.GenevieveGraham.com
Hi Ms. Graham!
Thank you so much for stopping by and introducing yourself
I’m ALWAYS open to new authors, be they Debut or ‘new’ to me.
I have heard of Ms. Warner (last year was her Debut, I believe and she won with that book a Rita?) and I do hope to read that book soon. I do on occasion leave the comfort of Regency World for the Wild West. Currently I’m reading Caroline Fyffe’s WHERE THE WIND BLOWS and I like it a lot. I like Ms. Fyffe’s style of writing.
I went to your website and looked around…I see that one of your fave’s is mine as well. THE OUTLANDER and Ms. Gabaldon’s other books in that series are one of my prize possessions. I have them all and re-read them as soon as I find out she’s coming up with the new one
Your books do sound very much what I love to read about. I saw the trailer and liked it a lot as well. The covers of both of them are very good, and I hope you stay with the second one (it looks like it’s only temp?).
I wondered if you’d be interested in sending me it for a review, and I would love to interview you also. I have second week in December free.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Mel
Hi Mel-
I often visit your blog and would love to send you an ARC of my debut, THE RUNAWAY COUNTESS. It is a Regency
and releases March 6, 2012.
Best-
Leigh LaValle

Melanie & Kristal – My new historical romance here! It’s called SARAH QUANLI. You can read a synopsis of the story and excerpts of it at my author website: http://www.jacksonkeene.com. I’d like to send you a copy (paperback or PDF, your choice) to review. Please email me with your mailing address or email address.
Kind regards, Jackson Keene, jacksonkeenetx@gmail.com
Kristal, great, awesome author of paranormal with a Freebie up on Amazon [oops, no longer free, but only .99]. 1st in a series, it’s called, Bound to Night–great VAMP romance. A good friend of mine, too. She has lots of great vampire stories to tell… hey! maybe she is one??? well, who knows…
I was going to tell you it was up for free on Amazon but that must have been a one day thing for the release of her new book, 2nd in the series, Bound to Moonlight, which I’ve read and is just awesome, too.
Oh boy. how about an author’s name with that great shout out? LOL Nina Croft.
Hello, I cannot remember how I got into you but I assume that one of the authors I am friends on fb with would have pointed you guys out and since then I am hooked. You sending me daily emails makes it even more interesting. Now I am informed about a lot more books than I would have been through the library and the local bookstores. I used to blog in my lovely cat Fluser’s name but after I had to let him go two weeks ago into the higher hunting grounds I am not sure if I will continue. It is a bit of a hell, but I love it hot.
I love to read and I am a bit of an addict when it comes to books. So bring it on.
Hi, Melanie. Any chance you’d like to see my new Regency, Against the Wind? It just got 5 stars from the Reading Cafe and I’d love to see it on your site. Also, I have an idea for a post on How to Write a Worthy Review. (Authors and their friends often don’t know how to write them…). Let me know. You can email me via my website, http://www.reganwalkerauthor.com.
I’m on board!
Sent you an email just now through your website. Thanks for thinking of me. I really appreciate it ;D
Haven’t received it yet, Melanie, but I will keep watching for it!
Hi,
I do love follow your blog. You bring to us wonderful reviews and amazing interviews. Congrats!!
Hi Melanie,
