Behind the scenes at ‘Forever a Lord’ book trailer filming….

It’s Tuesday… the weather here in Chicago is spelling F.A.L.L. all over town… it’s windy, cool and the color’s are amazing… and this Sunday I’ll be meeting Ms. Delilah Marvelle to spend ONE WHOLE DAY with her! I’m beyond excited! I have NOTHING to wear! I have no good shoes! Not one purse is good enough…AND I’m fighting off a cold of all colds! Last week was a week from hell, that’s how sick I was! Doing much, much better today and hoping to be excellent by Sunday, on which I just found out is, surprise-surprise, going to be raining!!! Total bummer! But I have no doubt,Delilah and I will find something to do!

In the meantime, while I run around like a chicken with no head, looking around for what to wear and trying to think of things to ask her, I thought to share with you this sneak-peek at behind the scenes taping of her book trailer for the upcoming, long-awaited conclusion of the Rumor series, ‘Forever a Lord’.

Stop by and tell me what you think of it and help me come up with some cool questions to ask her and we’ll gift you with the book as soon as it comes out!*

  1. That was Mr. Marvelle?! Did he work out a lot to get in that great shape for his “close up”? Was that filmed in NYC? How long did it take for all the filming (looked like multiple set-ups)? Did Delilah do storyboards to block out the scenes?
As always, looking forward to the final product!

  2. I sure do miss my Midwest FALL!
    The trailer looks crazy fun…
Is this a project Delilah puts together or does she have a company who is doing all that work?
Wow. Lots of work…and yum, yum, Mr. Marvelle. Way to get in there and support the wife. :D

  3. I loved looking behind the scenes! Thank you for sharing this with us.
My question is about her characters. Did they all come at once with the story screaming to be told or did they work themselves in as the story unfolded? I’m going to play the devil’s advocate on this next question. As much as I like to see a trailer based on the author’s take on the characters or story, do you think it may affect how the reader sees the characters? As readers, when we read our mind shapes the characters looks, etc., and it may be different for each reader even though we read the same words, so do you think by watching the trailers that we are taking our mind’s view away and placing the authors view in before we ever start reading? I hope that just made sense.

  4. Hi Melanie!
You should know by now not to ask me what I think so let me count the ways!
    1. Loved the sneak peak but I’m now going to go crazy until the “final take” is released!
    2. Delilah has a very sexy husband. (I may be old but I still notice things like that).
    3. Yeah – It was great to see Jenn and Kate there! Maybe you can con them into coming on over with a couple of exclusive shots from the shoot!
    4. If this much detailed work goes into one of Delilah’s book trailers just imagine the time she takes to make her books so fantastic!
    5. Did I mention hot hot Delilah’s husband is?
    6. How to I get in touch with Shane to let him know if he ever needs an older “mother figure” for one of his shoots to give me a call?
    7. What’s the publishers phone # so we can all call and make them realize that they shouldn’t make us wait so long before releasing Forever A Lord! Anyone want to picket with me?
    8. I want to adopt Delilah’s husband.
